Ontario take-home pay calculator
Real 2026 tax brackets and basic personal amount for Ontario — the same numbers behind the full calculator.
Ontario's paycheque math has an extra step most calculators skip: a surtax layered on top of provincial tax once it clears a couple of thresholds, on top of the usual five income brackets. It's a small detail that changes the real number for a lot of middle-income earners.
This calculator applies that surtax the same way the province actually does, alongside the 2026 bracket thresholds and basic personal amount below — so what you see here is what actually lands in your account, not a rounded estimate.
2026 provincial tax brackets
| Taxable income | Marginal rate |
|---|---|
| $0 – $53,891 | 5.05% |
| $53,891 – $107,785 | 9.15% |
| $107,785 – $150,000 | 11.16% |
| $150,000 – $220,000 | 12.16% |
| $220,000 and up | 13.16% |
Basic personal amount: $12,989
